You play Black and move first ยท Make five in a row to form a "fishing rod" โ reel it in to reclaim your stones and capture an opponent's stone as yours ยท First to capture 10 stones wins
Black moves first, then players alternate โ one stone per turn on an intersection. Stones cannot be moved once placed.
When you form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of five or more stones (a "fishing rod"), you may reel it in:
Reeling in = take back the rod stones created by your latest move (the five-in-a-row containing your new stone; several rods at once count separately), and capture any one opponent stone, replacing it with your own. Each rod scores 1 capture.
If the replacing stone forms another five (a chain), you may keep reeling.
Black may choose "Decline" to keep the rod as a threat; the computer always reels immediately.
The first player to capture 10 stones wins instantly. If the board fills up, whoever has captured more stones wins (equal = draw).
Making multiple rods in one move scores cumulatively โ extending to a six scores 2, a seven scores 3; long lines score by the number of rods containing your new stone (max 5). Try to win with more than 10 captures!
